ANOTHER DEER HAS FALLEN

Go into the fields throw your chattels on a bonfire
Tear down the dead trees, clear away the debris

A canyon has opened up between you and me
I can sense you sleeping next to me the walls are very thin

Another deer has fallen
Find me by the roadside calling to the hawks
Why did it end like this?

I'm speaking to you from a long way away
The rage I feel almost consumes me

The one saving grace is you'll never know
The struggle in my heart belies the calmness of my face

Another deer has fallen
Find me by the roadside calling to the hawks
Why did it end like this?
