The Spy

The Spy originally began as a character in one of my paintings, titled 111. She is part of an ensemble that represents my imaginary childhood friends. For my first solo exhibition, I wanted to bring the beings in my paintings to life, and photography became the portal I had been searching for.

The individuals who embody my beings in the photographs are carefully chosen. They naturally possess qualities intrinsic to the concept and are open to surrendering themselves to the unfolding of the creative process.
